Being a new player in the phone service arena is difficult, especially when you have no physical stores for people to gain brand awareness. We took that insight and had fun with it, what’s better than gaining a tiny bit of brand recognition through a brick and mortar store? Letting people know that they never have to step foot inside one again. We created the ‘This is a Phone Store’ campaign as a way to evangelize that the future of phone service is here. Anything you would need to go to a store to do you can now do from the comfort of wherever. To help drive this home we chose somewhere nearly everyone loves, Santa Monica Beach, and did a beach takeover to let people know that their favorite beach, is now their favorite phone store. We followed this campaign up with more traditional OOH campaigns in other markets letting people know that the world of the phone store now lived where it should have all along, in your phone.
